Holiday Tour of Homes featuring Honeymoon

Honeymoon

Madison is buzzing with excitement because the Holiday Tour of Homes (November 30 – December 2) is almost here!

This highly anticipated annual event gives history and design lovers the opportunity to tour privately owned homes during the most wonderful time of the year.

Each year the tour features a different line-up of historic beauties, but this year’s roster serves up an extra special treat that goes by the name of “Honeymoon”.

That’s right, Madison’s showstopping 1851 Greek Revival is yours for the taking touring!

For the History Lover –
Honeymoon was owned by the Godfrey-Candler-Hunt family for more than 80 years. Among them was S. Charles Candler, the nephew of Asa Griggs Candler who was the founder of Coca-Cola and former Mayor of Atlanta.

For the Design Diva –
Flash-forward to today, the home is in the careful hands of Jimmy Stanton and Patrick Greco. As an interior designer and owner of Stanton Home Furnishings, it’s easy to see that Stanton and Honeymoon were a match made in heaven.

Now that you’ve gotten a healthy dose of “Honeymoon History” let me warn you that the following images might spike your Honeymoon fever… you’ve been warned!
